Con-Real has completed construction of Grant Park Gateway at Zoo Atlanta. The project is a semi-underground, four-story parking garage featuring 1,000 parking spaces, a 4,000 sq. ft. restaurant, and a 2.5-acre green roof with planted vegetation to reduce stormwater run-off and improve air quality. The intention for the green roof is to become an extension of Grant Park, inspired by the natural foliage of the park and derived from the veins in leaves and nearly invisible from street level.
Additional amenities include a bandstand, a shaded terrace plaza, amazing views of downtown, terraced seating, and a water feature. The parking garage accommodates current and future parking demands, reduces traffic congestion, and improves safety. It features a smart parking system that guides patrons to available spaces, parking areas for both automobiles and bicycles, as well as electric vehicle charging stations. In addition to parking for the zoo, the project provides upgrades to the park including three areas adjacent to the deck and pedestrian access to the rest of Grant Park.
