Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will oversee and manage contracts for commercial construction projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, budget constraints, and project timelines. This role involves coordination with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support successful project execution and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and administer contracts for various commercial construction projects.

Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including deliverables, payment schedules, and milestones.

Track and manage contract amendments, renewals, and closeouts.

Maintain accurate records of contracts, change orders, project schedules, and budgets.

Compile and organize all project documentation, including correspondence, insurance certificates, and legal documents.

Identify potential risks within contracts and propose solutions to mitigate them.

Collaborate with legal and project management teams to address and resolve contractual disputes.

Communicate contract terms to project teams, ensuring understanding and compliance.

Work closely with project managers, estimators, and finance teams to monitor contract performance and adherence to budget.

Review and process invoices and payments related to contractual agreements.

Monitor project costs and budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals.

Prepare reports on project progress, contract status, and financial updates.

Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, local, state, and federal regulations, and industry standards.

Coordinate with legal counsel for compliance, disputes, and policy interpretation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).

3-5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably within commercial construction.

Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal terms, and industry practices.

Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.

Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
