Honoring Dionne Phillips Bagsby

A dedication ceremony was held this week for the Dionne Phillips Bagsby Subcourthouse. The courthouse is dedicated to Dionne Phillips Bagsby, former Tarrant County Commissioner.

Dionne Bagsby was the first black woman to hold the position of Tarrant County Commissioner. Her service to the community has continued far beyond her time in that position. The renovated courthouse is dedicated to her efforts towards positive change in the community. The ceremony included an unveiling of a plaque which was designed and donated by Con-Real and the Gerald and Candace Alley Foundation.
