Con-Real is proud to collaborate with Girls, Inc. in providing young women with an introduction to the possibilities that a construction career path holds.
On Friday, August 3rd, Con-Real hosted over 30 young women from Girls, Inc. of Tarrant County. This event, Riveting Young Women in Construction, was an opportunity to explore the possibilities of the construction career field, which has traditionally been a male-dominated industry.
After a quick ice-breaker game and interviews with Con-Real's staff, the girls were treated to Chick-fil-A for lunch. Con-Real's staff mentors, Gina, Linh, Stephanie, Stevie, Kristen, and Angela, then took the group to tour the Texas Live! site, where Jazmine Williams, Evens Duclair, and Rohit Chogoule (Con-Real's Texas Live! team) served as tour guides.
Con-Real's mission is to promote diversity and to break barriers in the industry, and we are proud to support Girls, Inc. as they do the same in their work with young women across the nation.
