Con-Real joins other global companies in an initiative to bring positive change to Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Freetown, Sierra Leone has experienced many ups and downs since its founding in 1787. As population rises, town leadership has realized the increasing need to make changes to help the town reach its exceptional potential as an economic, social, and cultural hub of Africa. Some of the biggest challenges the city faces are lack of clean water, inadequate housing, and environmentally unstable land use.
Under the leadership of Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, Freetown City Council has developed a 4 year plan to transform the city, with sustainable development at the heart of this process. Con-Real is providing support through professional insight, as well as resources such as laptops, printers, and other necessary equipment.
We're excited to be a part of the progress in Freetown. If you'd like to learn more about the initiative, visit http://fcc.gov.sl/transform-freetown/.
